Nursery

We offer nursery care for infants through age two during our Sunday school, morning worship, and Casual @ 6 services.  Our nursery is staffed by loving volunteers who have your child’s well-being in mind.

Sunday Church School Classes

Sunday School remains the cornerstone of our Christian Education program. Classes are held each Sunday morning from 9:15 – 10:15.  In Sunday school, children hear God’s Word presented in fun and creative ways, and they learn how the Bible applies to their lives.  We offer classes for children ages two – sixth grade, as well as classes for teens and adults.

Children's Church

During the morning worship service, childcare is provided for preschoolers (ages two – five) in the 2-3 year old Sunday school classroom.  Older children (K+) join their parents in the sanctuary for worship.  Following the children’s message, all children in Kindergarten through grade three are invited to Children’s Church, a special time of worship and learning designed just for kids.   Infant care is available in our nursery during the worship service.

Casual @ 6 for Kids

Casual @ 6 is our relaxed, informal service that is held most Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m.   Casual @ 6 for Kids is a special children’s program that utilizes games, crafts, and Bible stories to help kids ages four through sixth grade grow in their faith. Nursery care is provided for infants and toddlers.

Children's Choirs

Our graded Children’s Choir Program provides early musical and Christian learning experiences for children age four through sixth grade.   The CHERUB CHOIR is for children age four through first grade. The CAROL CHOIR is for children in second through sixth grade.  Both of these choirs meet on Wednesday evenings, beginning September through mid-spring.  All children are welcome to be a part of the Cherub or Carol Choir.

Celebration Singers

Our children’s choir program provides early musical and Christian learning experiences for children in Kindergarten through sixth grade.  The Celebration Singers rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:15, beginning in September and continuing through mid-spring.  The choir sings regularly in the morning worship service and presents an annual Christmas program.

Power Lab Vacation Bible School

Come have a blast at Power Lab Vacation Bible School: Discovering Jesus’ Miraculous Power. This year’s VBS program will feature amazing Bible adventures, awesome science experiments, cool crafts, games, music, and more!  VBS will be held June 23 – 27, 2008 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  Our program is designed for children ages 3 – Grade 6.  An adult program is also available.  For more information or to register, contact the church office at 513-423-5721.

Kid's Care Club

Kid’s Care Club is for all children in Kindergarten through sixth grade with a desire to serve others.  Each week, the children take part in fun, hands-on mission and service projects.  Kid’s Care Club meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:15 – 8:00.

Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts

Cub Scout Pack 19 is chartered through First Baptist Church in Middletown at the Corner of Riverview and Breiel. We are part of the Dan Beard Council, which encompasses Northern Kentucky and Southwestern Ohio , with the northernmost county being Butler County . There are 8 districts under the Dan Beard Council and we are part of the Hopewell District.

Our organization meets monthly as a Pack at
First Baptist Church from September to May, with monthly activities during the summer.

There are 5 levels in each Pack: Tiger Cubs (1st grade), Wolf Cubs (2nd grade), Bear Cubs (3rd grade), Jr. WEBELOS (4th grade), and Sr. WEBELOS (5th grade). We further divide into dens, which we try to limit to 10 boys to keep things manageable.

Boys that have finished Sr. WEBELOS or are 11 years of age are eligible to become Boy Scouts and join a Troop.

Chartered through First Baptist Church, Boy Scout Troop 718 was first organized in 1927 and has been meeting at First Baptist since September 1983.

Troop 718 has weekly meetings on Tuesday nights at 7 pm with monthly campouts and other planned activities throughout the year.

Scouting provides an educational program for boys and will prepare them to be responsible adults and participating citizens in their community.  Scouting will help boys develop personal fitness and guide them in making moral and ethical choices throughout their lifetime.

First Baptist Kids

Any child, toddler through sixth grade, is a First Baptist Kid. During the year FBK events are held for the children such as the annual Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas Craft Night.   Watch the calendar and join us for these fun events.

American Baptist Youth

    Love All...

    Serve One

The Youth Group at First Baptist Church is designed for students from 7th to
12th grades. Our name is the American Baptist Youth - the ABY!

Our group has a weekly program on Wednesday nights. We meet from 7:45 to
9:00 p.m. in the church. This gathering time is devoted to youth devotions
with time for indoor games played in a Christian atmosphere, and for
discussions.

ABY Night is held once a month on Wednesday evenings. During this time, we have
dinner together, share in a Bible Study, discuss projects and plans for the
group, and engage in fun and games that appeal to all youth. Our aim is to
have fun and fellowship in a Christian atmosphere that teaches cooperation
and love while it provides opportunities for spiritual growth.

We have at least one other event each month in addition to our regular
activities. These events might be at the church or at other locations. Over
the last year, our activities have included attending a Christian Concert,
playing Laser Tag, visiting Kings Island, helping with the Middletown Summer
Food for Kids program, cooking for Hope House, caroling at Christmas time, and
weekend retreats. We spend about 25% of our time together doing projects and
services for others.

For information for Junior and Senior High youth contact the church office.
