Richard (Dick) Casey is a native of Wichita, Kansas, where he
received his formal education in music. He is a graduate of Friends
University where he received a Bachelor of Music Education degree. He
went on to receive a Masters in Music Education with an emphasis in choral
music from Wichita State University. An ordained minister, Dick also

Since the age of 18, Dick has directed church choirs. He was Minister of Music and Associate Pastor in churches in Charleston, West Virginia and Sarasota, Florida before coming to the Breiel Boulevard Church in Middletown. During his 20 year tenure at Breiel, he developed a graded choir program, a brass ensemble, handbell choirs, choral ensembles and the adult choirs, as well as carrying out pastoral responsibilities. The Christmas and Easter pageants and patriotic concerts, which he directed at the Breiel Church with choir, orchestra and drama, became a highlight for the community each year.
In the past eight years, Mr. Casey has been directing the Sanctuary Choir at the First Baptist Church in Middletown. He also rehearsed a community group called the Middletown Symphony Concert Chorale which has performed with the Middletown Symphony Orchestra the past two years.
