Our Associate Pastor
Carol was blessed to grow up in a loving, Christian home. As
a young child, Carol vividly remembers praying and “asking Jesus into her
heart.” Around the same time, her parents began attending Grace
Baptist Church in York, Pennsylvania. This community of believers
nurtured Carol in her faith and gave her opportunities to exercise her
spiritual gifts. At the age of twelve, she made a public profession of
faith, was baptized and joined the church.
After graduating from Red Lion Christian School, Carol continued her education at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana where she majored in Christian Ministries and Sociology. Throughout college, Carol was actively involved in several student ministries, as well as working as student director for the school’s tutoring program.
Following college, Carol moved to the Philadelphia area to serve as Director of Christian Education at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. Her time at Calvary strengthened her call to ministry, and in 2002, Carol entered the Master of Divinity program at Princeton Theological Seminary in Princeton, New Jersey.
During seminary, Carol had the opportunity to intern in two churches: Fourth United Methodist Church in York, Pennsylvania and First Baptist Church in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Carol completed her Master of Divinity degree in 2005.
In September 2006, Carol was called to serve as Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church in Middletown, Ohio. When she is not at church, Carol enjoys reading, quilting, and scrap booking.
