Let's "TP" Hope House!
During the month of May, the Mission Board will be collecting toilet
paper and paper towels for Hope House (men's shelter) and the Center of
Hope (women's shelter). Please bring your donations to the church and
place them in the box in the narthex. Thank you.
Health Ministries Note
The Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association presents "What Families Need to Know". A care and Support worship for Family Caregivers of Alzheimers or Related Dementia. This series provides for families to learn and share together in an informal setting. The goals are for better understanding the medical aspects, strategies for coping with daily challenges of caring for someone with memory impairment. How to get important information related to legal and financial planning and identifying available community services that could help now and in the future. The program has four sessions and is free of charge, but reservations must be made in advance.
Four-part series - Separate topics each Tuesday, May 1, 8, 15 & 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Middletown Area Senior Citizens Center, 3907 Central Avenue, Middletown.

Stitches for Christ
During the year April 1, 2011 through March 31, 2012, our group crocheted 14 shawls, approximately 145 baby and lap afghans, and miscellaneous items for the Santa Shop.We also crocheted 28 afghans for our Shalom guests and Salvation Army families.

Piecemakers of First Baptist Church Retiring
With the delivery of “Granny’s Flower Garden” quilt to Gayle Huber on April 13, 2012, the Piecemakers of First Baptist Church retired after 36 years.
