Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

Thank you for your interest in the childrens's programs at First Baptist Church. Here at First Baptist, we believe that every child is uniquely created and deeply loved by God. Our desire is to help children build a firm foundation of faith in Jesus Christ. We hope your family will join us on our journey learning to love, serve and follow Jesus.

Sunday School

Sunday School remains the cornerstone of our Christian Education program. Classes are held each Sunday morning from 9:15 - 10:15. In Sunday school, children hear God's Word presented in fun and creative ways, and they learn how the Bible applies to their lives. We offer classes for children ages two through 6th grade, as well as classes for teens and adults.

Nursery

Nursery care is available for children from birth to 24 months during our Sunday school and morning worship services. Our nursery is staffed by loving volunteers who have your child's well-being in mind.

Children's Church

During the morning worship service, childcare is provided for preschoolers (ages 2-5). Older children (K+) join their parents in the sanctuary for church. Following the children's message, all children in kindergarten through third grade are invited to Children's Church, a special time of worship and learning designed just for kids.

Vacation Bible School

Each year, First Baptist holds Vacation Bible School for children of the church and community. VBS is a fun, high-energy way for children to learn more about God.

Wednesday Evening Children's Activities

Children's Choirs and Kids Care Club

All children in Kindergarten through 6th grade are invited to participate in Kids Care Club and Praise Singers or Celebration Singers. Activities for the 2011 school year will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 through the end of the school year.

First Baptist Kids

Any child, toddler through sixth grade, is a First Baptist Kid. Special children's events, such as the annual Easter Egg Hunt and Christmas Craft Night, are held throughout the year. Watch the calendar and join us for these fun events.
